ABOUT THE ARTIST
THIBAULT BARRÈRE (1988) is a French realist painter whose work is sought after by collectors for its precision, emotional depth, and classical elegance. Educated at the Angel Academy in Florence, he specialises in museum-quality portraiture created with the same technical standards that defined Europe’s great master painters.
Barrère is known for his exacting craftsmanship: every work is built using hand-prepared pigments, custom mediums, and archival linen, following traditional methods refined through years of research. His portraits begin with conceptual drawings and live studies, resulting in compositions that balance timeless aesthetic values with a contemporary, dignified presence.
Collectors value Barrère’s work for its ability to honour legacy — capturing not only likeness, but stature, personality, and the narrative identity of the sitter. Each portrait is created as a generational artwork, designed to endure and to become part of a family’s cultural heritage.
Based in France and working internationally, Barrère accepts a limited number of commissions each year for private clients, cultural institutions, and public figures. His paintings are held in distinguished private collections across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
